‘Long time no see’ will be your thought! That’s right, this year I took a unique long Summer holiday! Enjoying the beach, prairie and spending family life at the country-side (‘Jardin de la terre …un petite coin perdu..’), visiting many beautiful exhibitions & reading the books that arrived on my desk. Lovely, Until 26th February this month the exhibition ‘Serpentina, Snake Jewellery from around the World’ is on display at the Schmuckmuseum in Pforzheim (The Jewellery museum), Germany. Accompanying this exhibition there’s an extremely interesting beautiful book written by Fritz Falk, which I would like to discuss on my blog today.As you know I’m impressed by Being on the internet for my preparings of “Gem-Session 2” I entered the web-site of The Walters Art Museum. Because there’s so much more to see than only the famous conch pearl ‘cage’ pendant, where I was looking for, I have to share this with you right away. An amazing varied and aesthetically beautiful jewellery collection!
This museum contains The permanent Castellani collection, Italian 19th century archaeologically inspired jewellery, at “Villa Giulia” is an absolute beauty! Lately I enjoyed the famous Castellani jewellery collection at “Villa Giulia”, in Park Borghese (Piazzale di Villa Giulia 9), in Rome.
